Learning together with peers from different cultural backgrounds is an important way for children to build a broad worldview and enrich their life experiences. The HGE Micro Study Abroad Program will lead students to explore from multiple perspectives, including authentic American classes, visits to world schools, visits to innovative technology institutions, and in-depth experiences of urban culture. At the same time, it will also complete small tasks related to the dissemination of Chinese culture and embark on a comprehensive cross-cultural exchange and learning journey.
FOR STUDENTS: MICRO STUDY ABROAD
Student Independent Group
Preferably for students over 10 years old.
Parent-Child Group
There is no age limit for children. While children are studying at school, special schedules will be arranged for parents.
Immersion in American Schools
According to age and grade, students are assigned to suitable local high-quality schools in the United States for short-term learning. This allows them to immerse themselves in real American classrooms, experience an authentic American school curriculum and daily routines, and gain insight into the American educational philosophy. In addition to subject courses, students will also participate in extracurricular activities organized by the school.
Make American Good Friends
Students are paired 1-on-1 with American students to attend classes and participate in school extracurricular activities together. This helps Chinese students adapt more quickly to studying and living abroad while forming meaningful international friendships.
Visit Top World-Renowned Universities
Students have the opportunity to visit prestigious universities such as Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, and Yale University. They will experience the rich cultural atmosphere and academic spirit of these globally recognized institutions.
Host Family’s ‘Second Classroom’
Students can choose to stay with a host family. Beyond daily living, host families engage students in various after-class activities, such as supermarket shopping, movie nights, dining out, and family gatherings. This experience helps students quickly integrate into American family life, enhances their sense of belonging, and turns daily life into a ‘second classroom’ where they can experience authentic American culture.
