Harvest Chinese Language Center is a professional Chinese language center for international students, individuals enrolled in short-term study abroad programs or study tours, and business professionals.

We provide a comfortable learning environment, convenient transportation and experienced language instructors. Our director has more than 15 years of experience in teaching international students the Chinese language, both in China and overseas, including places such as Middlebury College, in the U.S. By combining the unique elements from both U.S. and European language teaching theory and models, as well as years of practical application, we have established a series of unique courses and cultural activities that promise to strengthen students’ understanding of traditional Chinese culture while accelerating international exchange. Building on this foundation, the director has integrated additional elements of her personal teaching philosophy that have proven successful over the years, making our curriculum unique and effective.

General Chinese Program

Class Hours: 9 hrs/week; 12 hrs/week; 15 hrs/week
Class Size: 2-5
Course Structure:

  • 3 class periods for a single lesson plan,
  • 2 weeks for a teaching unit
  • making use of popular European and American Chinese teaching methods.

Class 1: Vocabulary learning and reinforcement
Class 2: Grammar and Text learning
Class 3: In-class practice exercises
